The Commanding Shepherds were one of Baltimore's few prolific groups, with three albums on Pinewood and at least four singles (two on Pinewood, one each on Fink and Job's). Led by Willie Dowtin and Eddie Williams (who sings lead on this track), they were one of those groups who did everything well, but lead guitarists and music directors Willie Douglas and Gary Jackson deserve special note for their excellence throughout the album.
